It seemed to move at first, but then I quickly realized that all the emails in that folder up and disappeared! If I go in Windows Explorer, I can see the folders (in two places now!), but they just don't show up in Thunderbird.
Well, that folder was starting to get rather large, so i thought I'd move it up a level, out of 'RESOURCES' and just as a folder right off the 'Local Folders' root. In my Local Folders, I had a folder called 'RESOURCES', which contained a variety of subdirectories, including one called 'Software' (which also contained subdirectories) which had various info on my installed software such as receipts for purchase, serial numbers, etc. I do hope somebody can help - and soon! I'm afraid to reboot or anything now. :(
